Joshua advises entrepreneurs, private companies, small business owners and financial institutions on an array of transactional, corporate finance and intellectual property matters.
As part of his transactional practice, Joshua has represented businesses and individuals in a variety of corporate transactions, from the sale and acquisition of franchised brands and multi-unit franchise businesses, to the formation and acquisition of small businesses and local restaurants. He counsels clients on corporate and shareholder matters, entity formation, contract review and drafting.
Joshua also helps clients protect their concepts and brands. He advises clients in the clearance and registration of trademarks and drafts intellectual property licenses, assignments, confidentiality and other agreements.
Joshua previously served as in-house counsel with a Fortune 500 company, where he focused on private debt placements, private equity investments, Investment Company Act, Investment Adviser Act, and securities law matters.
During law school, Joshua clerked with the Office of the General Counsel for the University of Minnesota and served as an editor on the Minnesota Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude and was a Walter J. Trogner Scholar.
