Vickie L. Loher-Johnson

Vickie Loher-Johnson represents buyers and sellers in commercial real estate transactions and real estate development matters. In retail leasing transactions, Vickie has experience representing both tenants and landlords. She conducts due diligence reviews, including title, survey, land use, permitting, and environmental matters and, in doing so, considers the current, planned and future uses for a client’s commercial properties. Vickie also applies her real estate knowledge in the firm’s Public Finance practice, assisting local governmental units in real estate matters associated with transactions involving tax-increment financing and their other land development needs.

Vickie’s practice provides a unique bridge between the firm’s real estate practice group and the firm’s franchise practice group. Her real estate experience lends itself well to addressing the issues associated with the leasing, selling, purchasing and financing of franchise locations. Vickie protects our clients in a practical and pragmatic fashion, taking into consideration potential legal issues when drafting transaction documents to prevent and address future conflicts.

While a student at William Mitchell College of Law, Vickie was active in the law review, served as a research assistant for several professors, and contributed to The Process of Legal Research (Christina L. Kunz, et al., 5th ed. 2000), a textbook used by many law schools across the country. Vickie graduated with magna cum laude while working full time during her law school tenure.

Vickie served as a lecturer at the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development from 2007 to 2013, teaching sport and recreation law.

She joined Monroe Moxness Berg in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced commercial real estate law at a local Minneapolis law firm.
