Kahin attended an award ceremony in Washington, D.C. on May 1, where he was congratulated by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. He was also honored at the National Small Business Week event in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday, May 3, which was attended by Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. MMB’s Dennis Monroe joined him for the celebration: “Kahin is a special kind of business person, besides being very good at operating and growing his concept Afro Deli.
