Annaliisa Gifford

Annaliisa is a devoted advocate who focuses her practice on real estate and commercial litigation. She represents clients in a broad range of business, contract, and employment litigation matters and is committed to helping clients realize the best possible results. Annaliisa works with local closely-held businesses, corporations, and individuals to help her clients navigate the complexities of litigation. When advising clients, Annaliisa carefully considers the universe of facts applicable to her clients’ situations and strategizes to develop the best path forward. She is attuned to the objectives and complexities of her clients’ particular legal situations and makes it her objective to offer her clients the most effective business and litigation advice.

Annaliisa is a native Minnesotan, attended Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College in New York, where she studied English and Neuroscience, and graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. While at Mitchell, Annaliisa served as the Editor in Chief of Volume 42 of the Mitchell Hamline Journal of Law & Public Policy, student coach and finalist-competitor in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition. She has been active on the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association Board of Directors since 2020.

Representative Experience:

  • Represented a number of commercial real estate clients in matters involving unlawful detainers, eviction proceedings, contract disputes, and administrative claims
  • Assisted in the drafting and negotiating of a successful default judgment motion involving fraud and breach of contract.
  • Represented multiple clients on matters involving commercial agreements, construction, defamation, tortious interference, and restrictive covenants.
  • Assisted in drafting and negotiating of corporate employment agreements for multi-unit corporations, small-businesses, and non-profits.
