Trey is an associate with the firm’s Corporate Finance and M&A practice groups and participates in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. With a history of delivering results in both the courtroom and at the closing table, Trey provides strategic counsel to clients ranging from individual entrepreneurs to international financial institutions. He enjoys collaborating with his clients to recognize and assess potential issues in a transaction, identifying creative solutions, and ultimately working to meet his client’s end goals.
Trey also advises clients on trademark and copyright strategy, from the initial clearance stage through the application process. He has represented clients before the USPTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and has participated in UDRP arbitrations for domain name disputes.
Prior to joining MMB, Trey worked with a mid-size firm in Greater Minnesota where he focused primarily on civil litigation and assisted lenders in structuring both syndicate and single-lender credit facilities in the agribusiness industry across the upper Midwest. Trey’s past experience in both civil litigation and debt financing in nine-figure deals makes him adept at navigating all aspects of a transaction and identifying common pitfalls for borrowers.
In his free time, Trey enjoys attending plays and musicals, reading, golfing, playing the French horn, and following the Vikings.
