Restaurant Finance Monitor’s 2023 Restaurant Finance & Development Conference took place November 13-15 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. The annual event focuses on the business side of the restaurant industry.

At the Monroe Moxness Berg Success Breakfast, we were thrilled to host Jerry Rice as guest speaker. The Hall of Fame wide receiver and three-time Super Bowl champion, who is also an entrepreneur in the energy drink industry, was interviewed by MMB attorney Christopher Mumm. During the breakfast, Jerry and Chris talked about success both on the field and in business. Jerry emphasized the importance of hard work, following your passion, and surrounding yourself with a winning team.
Earlier in the conference, Dennis Monroe moderated a breakout session. The panel presentation focused on ideas for building a franchise system that benefits the franchisor and helps put the franchisee onto a clear path to prosperity. Dennis was joined by Dan Rowe (Fransmart), Guillermo Perales (Sun Holdings), and Aziz Hashim (NRD Capital) for their panel presentation “Reimagining a Partnership Approach to Franchising.”
