As an associate attorney, Monica focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. She advises clients on a multitude of real estate matters including the acquisition, development, sale and leasing of local and national properties.
Monica assists clients in reaching their goals and objectives in all aspects of deals and transactions. She does this by identifying potential issues and using analytical thinking to provide clients with various strategies and solutions.
Prior to joining the firm, Monica worked at a law firm in the Twin Cities metro area practicing real estate and civil litigation. Using her past experience resolving real property disputes, she is able to resolve issues that arise in the transactional environment including topics involving: easements and access issues, Torrens proceedings subsequent and registration proceedings, and survey and title reviews.
Additionally, Monica practices in commercial leasing and purchase agreements, encountering a variety of real property matters arising from the development or purchasing of the land, including zoning, land use, and environmental due diligence. Monica’s real property background spans from triple net leasing and 1031 exchanges to review for single site or multi-unit transactions.
