Monroe Moxness Berg Attorneys to Speak at Minnesota RE Journal’s 2026 Retail & Restaurant Summit

Monroe Moxness Berg’s Patricia Weller and Vickie Loher-Johnson will be moderating and Matt Duffy and Monica Pelkey will serve as panelists for sessions at the upcoming Minnesota RE Journal’s 19th Annual Retail & Restaurant Summit where MMB is proud to be a title sponsor.

The in-person event will take place at The Club at Golden Valley, Golden Valley, Minnesota, from 8 a.m. to noon on April 29, 2026.

Patricia will moderate the “Table Talk: Perspectives From Restaurant Frontlines” session. The discussion will cover topics including navigating Minnesota’s Paid Family & Medical Leave Act, current workforce realities and challenges in the Minnesota business environment, the 2026 outlook for leasing, and how to address rising costs both in restaurant occupancy and operation.

Patricia will be joined by panelists Brian Ingram, CEO / Founder, Purpose Driven Restaurants; Craig Weber, Broker, Coldwell Banker Commercial; Matthew Monroe, Owner, Restore Restaurant Holdings; and Patrick Weber, Founder, Mise en Place Consulting.

Vickie will moderate and Matt and Monica will serve as panelists for the “Laws Affecting CRE: Opportunities & Challenges” session.  The discussion will cover 2026 ALTA Survey Requirements, Paid Family & Medical Leave Act & break laws and how they affect both landlord and tenant operations, recent legislation and opportunity zones & incentive programs, updated information on protecting property owners, and emerging lease provisions.

Vickie, Matt and Monica will be joined by panelist Michael Houge, Managing Director, NAI Legacy.
