As an associate attorney, Monica focuses her practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions. She advises clients on real estate matters including the acquisition, development, sale and leasing of local and national properties.
Monica assists clients in reaching their goals and objectives in finalizing deals and transactions. She does this by identifying potential issues and using analytical thinking to provide clients with various strategies and solutions.
Prior to joining the firm, Monica worked at a law firm in the metro area practicing real estate and civil litigation. She has experience resolving real property disputes including: title defects, easements and access issues, Torrens proceedings subsequent and registration proceedings, adverse possession claims, and boundary and survey issues.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
- Represented a client in a quiet title action which resulted in an order clearing title to the real property for her client.
- Assisted in defending local residential real property owners against adverse possession and prescriptive easement claims.
- Supported a court appointed referee in a partition action in the sale of three separate properties by reviewing the title commitments and drafting the requisite documents.
