Marcus is a shareholder at Monroe Moxness Berg PA, practicing in the firm’s Estate Planning and Business Law practice groups.
Marcus works with closely held businesses and individuals in the areas of estate planning, wealth preservation, estate and trust administration, and business succession and exit planning. He also assists the firm’s small business and corporate clients in a variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, business and corporate structuring, and shareholder and employment agreements.
Marcus’s practice is informed by the skills and perspective he acquired in a business environment. Before becoming an attorney, Marcus worked for five years in business banking with US Bank, where he served a variety of emerging companies and small- to mid-sized business clients. He understands the passion entrepreneurs bring to the table, the challenges they face to grow their business, and the constant balance of risk and reward. While at US Bank, Marcus attended Augsburg College and earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
Marcus graduated magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law. While at William Mitchell, he served as an assistant editor of the William Mitchell Law Review -Volume 39, and a staff member of the William Mitchell Law Review – Volume 38.
